Authentic autographed vintage commemorative philatelic cover hand signed by John L. Herrmann, chief cinematographer of the Byrd Antarctic Expedition II. The film results of the expedition were brought back in 135,000 feet of movie film, exposed by John L. Herrmann. Hermann and his assistant worked under all sorts of discouraging conditions and occasionally under obvious danger to capture footage in “Little America.” The cover is signed “Byrd Antarctic Expedition II 1933-1935, Chief Cinematographer-Paramount Pictures “Little America” John L.
