Edith Pargeter

Authentic autographed vintage art bookmark 'note card' hand signed by Edith Pargeter (pseudonym Ellis Peters), a self- taught scholar of Welsh ancestry. Pargeter (1913-1995) was a British author of works in many categories, but best known for her murder mysteries, both historical and modern. The Brother Cadfael medieval mysteries, many of which were made into films for television, are among her most famous works. Inside of card includes a hand written note reading, 'Sorry, I never seem to have any photographs around. But I send a couple of my bookplates, and all best wishes, Ellis Peters.'
