William Bower

Authentic William M. Bower autographed vintage commemorative first day philatelic cover commemorating 'Charles A. Lindbergh' and 'The Spirit of St. Louis' featuring a '50th Anniversary Solo Transatlantic Flight' 13¢ stamp canceled on May 20th, 1977. Bower was the Pilot of Crew #12 and has inscribed the cover with the following "William M. Bower, Doolittle Raider." Bower has also signed again on the reverse of the cover. This piece was signed in the 1980's and is a great example of his full name signature as most modern day signed pieces are much more rushed and far less legible due to his age.
