James Madison

James Madison, (March 16, 1751 (O.S. March 5) – June 28, 1836) was an American statesman and political theorist, the fourth President of the United States (1809–1817), and has hand signed this original land deed document. This partially printed document, dated "Twenty sixth day of July in the year of our Lord 1815" (7/26/1815) is hand signed at the conclusion by Madison, while President. The document has expected age wear, toning and fold lines but overall is in impressive fine condition.
