John Sedgwick

John Sedgwick (September 13, 1813 - May 9, 1864), American Civil War Union Army general, original 1800s Carte-de-visite photograph. Published by Mathew Brady Studio of Washington, D.C.

Sedgwick was the highest ranking Union casualty in the War, killed by a Confederate sharpshooter at the Battle of Spotsylvania Court House. 

Approximately 2.5 x 4 inches in size, this Carte-de-visite photograph is in good condition, aside from a slight touch of expected aging.
