Joseph K. Mansfield

Joseph K. Mansfield (December 22, 1803 - September 18, 1862), Union Army general in the American Civil War original 1800s Carte-de-visite photograph.  Produced by E. Anthony of New York from a Mathew Brady negative.

Prior to the Civil War Mansfield served in the Mexican-American War, getting wounded at the Battle of Monterrey. In the Civil War Mansfield was mortally wounded at the Battle of Antietam.

Approximately 2.5 x 4 inches in size, this Carte-de-visite photograph is in good condition, aside from a slight touch of expected aging.
