Sir John Murray, 8th Baronet

Sir John Murray, 8th Baronet​ (1768 - October 15, 1827), prominent nineteenth century British military officer, collection of authentic autographed handwritten letters (ALS). Included are two letters autographed by Murray, and a third autographed by Murray in the third person.

Murray led a brigade under Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington in the Peninsular War and later during the war commanded an independent force on the east coast of Spain.

Signed letters are in very good condition, aside from the expected light age wear.
