Charles Philippe was known most of his life as Count of Artois until his reign of France and Navarre as King Charles X from 1824 - 1830. King Charles supported his brother, King Louis XVIII while he was away in exile. Charles later went on to succeed Louis. King Charles' rule of six years came to an end with the July Revolution of 1830, which resulted in his abdication and election of Louis Philippe as King of the French. Charles was later exiled and died in Gorizia. He was the last of the French rulers from the senior line of the House of Bourbon.
This one page 17 x 11" untranslated document is crisply signed at the conclusion by Charles Philippe "Charles". Good to very good condition, with overall light toning not affecting the signature, expected folds, paper seal in tact.
