Friedrich Wilhelm Freiherr von Bülow

Friedrich Wilhelm Freiherr von Bülow, Graf von Dennewitz (February 16, 1755 – February 25, 1816), Prussian general of the Napoleonic Wars, authentic document (DS), dated May 28, 1814. Bulow served in the victory of Laon in March of 1814, as well as the Allied sovereigns' visit to England in June of the same year.

Addressed to "Mr. von Selahincky," the correspondence reads, in full: "I have the honour to convey to Your Excellency the enclosed complaint submitted by Lieutenant General von Thumen that the convalescing soldiers of the Second Pommeranian Reserve Regiment at Nancy have been relieved of their armament as well as of their ammunition. The commandant must be held responsible for this offence and therefore I take the liberty of suggesting to Your Excellency not only to call the commandant to account by also to effect the return of the above-mentioned arament to the regiment," signed at the conclusion, "von Bulow."

Document continues: "By command of General von Yorck - the commandant is to be reprimanded. - Since the confusion among the support troups of the army is quite severe, the army corps has suffered serious losses.

To the Royal General of the Infantry the Commander General Rittenzellen [?] by order of His Excellency General von Yorck."

Bears a very small portion of original wax seal.

Measuring approximately 8.25 x 13, this document is in overall very good condition, with the expected age wear, toning, mailing folds and a few tears to the top and bottom right corners.
