Alexandre Louis Robert Girardin d'Ermenonvilleā (February 13, 1776 - August 5, 1855), prominent French general of the Revolution and First Empire, authentic, autographed letter (ALS), to a friend. Letter of the campaign of the Grand Army in Germany 1806, one week after the battles of Jena and Auerstedt (October 14th), four days before the French will enter the Prussian capital of Berlin (October 25th). Excellent historical text, talking about the present situation after the twin battles. Dessau. October 21, 1806. Two pages with a fragment of the address page.
Approximately 7.5 x 9.5 inches in size. Very good condition, with expected light aging.
