Wallace Nutting (November 17, 1861 – July 19, 1941), U.S. minister, photographer, artist, and antiquarian, signed hand tinted photograph titled "By The Stone Wall". Nutting is most famous for his landscape photos of New England. He also was an accomplished author, lecturer, furniture maker, antiques expert and collector. His atmospheric photographs helped spur the Colonial Revival style.
Photograph measures approximately 7.5 x 9.5". Loosley affixed to a larger mount, approximately 13 x 16". Signed on mount below photo. Photograph is in fine condition. Mount has overall light toning and irregular edges.
