Stanley Frank "Stan" Musial (November 21, 1920 – January 19, 2013), American professional baseball player and Navy veteran of World War II. He was a Major League Baseball (MLB) outfielder and first baseman on the St. Louis Cardinals for 22 seasons, from 1941 through 1963. Nicknamed "Stan the Man", Musial is widely considered to be one of the greatest hitters in baseball history. Original, vintage glossy photograph credited to Sidney W.
