Chester Clifton

Chester Clifton Jr. (September 24, 1913 – December 23, 1991), former Major General in the United States Army and military aide to Presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson, original, vintage 6 x 8 silver print photograph of  Clifton in uniform. Credited to the notable Wootten-Moulton photographic stuidos. Bayard Wootten was a gifted, innovative pioneer as a female photographer in her home state of North Carolina.

General Clifton was an integral part of the Kennedy administration and was responsible for daily intelligence briefings for the President as well as being in the motorcade in Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963 when Kennedy was shot. 

Housed in original Wootten-Moulton matte folio for a finished size of 9 x 12. Excellent condition.
