Henry Lane Kendrick (1811 - 1891), American soldier and West Point professor, original, vintage oval albumen photograph. A Captain in the 2nd U.S. infantry, Kendrick saw action in the Mexican War, Cerro Gordo, the Siege of Vera Cruz, the skirmish of Amazoque and the defense of Pueblo, after which he was brevetted Major. In 1857, Kendrick became professor of chemistry, mineralogy and geology in the United States Military Academy.

Measuring approximately 3.75 x 5 and affixed to a sheet measuring 8.5 x 10.25, this photograph is in very good condition, with the expected age wear and toning to the sheet.
