Gig Young (November 4, 1913 – October 19, 1978), American film, stage, and television actor. Known mainly for second leads and supporting roles, Young won an Academy Award for his performance as a slimy dance-marathon emcee in the 1969 film 'They Shoot Horses, Don't They?.' Original, vintage, 8 x 10 promotional photograph credited to Phil Burchman, taken a the Photoplay Magazine office, stamp dated August 16, 1952.
The vintage photograph, printed on a heavy-weight glossy stock, is in fine condition with very slight wear to its surface, edges and corners. Verso bears original photo credit, ID and date hand stamps as well as hand written ID notations.
