Henry Brazeale Walthall (March 16, 1878 – June 17, 1936), American stage and film actor, vintage 8 x 10 glossy double-weight photograph credited to notable Hollywood photographer Melbourne Spurr. As Henry Garnett in the Mayer-Stahl production of 'One Clear Call.'
Melbourne Spurr, deaf photographer who became one of the top celebrity portraitists in 1920s Hollywood. He maintained a very popular private studio while other photographers in his field went to work for the big motion picture studios like MGM, Fox, Warner Bros, etc.
Features Melbourne Spurr 'blind' emboss credit stamping. Verso bears original publicity snipe, Spurr credit stamping and handwritten ID notations. Verso also shows trace from previous mounting. In very good condition with moderate wear to edges and corners.
