Lionel Barrymore; born Lionel Herbert Blythe; April 28, 1878 – November 15, 1954), American actor of stage, screen and radio as well as a film director, vintage 8 x 10 inch glossy photograph with Edward Arnold from the film "You Can't Take It with You." Credited to Irving Lippman.
"You Can't Take It with You" is a 1938 American romantic comedy film directed by Frank Capra and starring Jean Arthur, Lionel Barrymore, James Stewart, and Edward Arnold. Adapted from the Pulitzer Prize-winning play of the same name by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart, the film is about a man from a family of rich snobs who becomes engaged to a woman from a good-natured but decidedly eccentric family.
Irving Isadore Lippman (1906 – 2006) spent 60 years in the film industry beginning as a sixteen-year old assistant cameraman on a silent era comedy directed by Fatty Arbuckle in 1922 for $25 per week.
Verso bears original snipe and credit stampings. In very good condition.
