John H. Martindale

General John H. Martindale (March 20, 1815 – December 13, 1881), Union Army general in the American Civil War, original 1800s Carte-de-visite photograph. Published by R.W. Addis of Washington, D.C.

Martindale fought with the XVIII Corps in the Bermuda Hundred Campaign, the Battle of Cold Harbor and the Siege of Petersburg. Following the War he served as New York State Attorney General.

Approximately 2.5 x 4 inches in size, this Carte-de-visite photograph is in good condition, aside from a slight touch of expected aging.
