Rupert Hughes

Rupert Hughes (1872 - 1956), American novelist, film director and Oscar-nominated screenwriter, authentic, autographed, original, vintage, gelatin silver print photograph by William M. Van der Weyde, New York.  Hughes is also known for being the uncle to eccentric American billionaire Howard Hughes.

The vintage photograph measures approximately 5.5 x 7.5 inches in size and is in fine condition aside for some slight age wear and surface dings. Its verso bears hand stamped Van De Weyde credits and identified as "Rupurt Hughes / Author / playwright / Mr. Hughues's latest book 'In a Little Town,' has just been published" in pencil in an unknown hand.
