William R. Grove

William R. Grove (July 11, 1811 - August 1, 1896), prominent 19th century Welsh physical scientist and judge, original vintage Woodburytype photograph.  The photograph is mounted to a page that has been removed from a 19th century book of notables, and is accompanied by an additional book page providing biographical information.

Approximately 8.25 x 10.5 inches in size.  Fine condition. One rough edge to each page from bound book removal.
