Civil War Era Theater, original vintage playbill for a February 27, 1864 performance of "Richelieu", featuring Daniel E. Bandmann, at the Boston Theatre in Boston, Massachusetts. Printed in Boston by F.A. Searle.
Bandmann was a German-American actor who was known for his roles in Shakespearean plays. After he retired in he took up ranching in Montana. His book, "An Actor's Tour: or, Seventy Thousand Miles with Shakespeare", was published in 1885.
Approximately 5.25 x 18.5 inches in size. Expected light age wear and shadows of glue residue on the top and bottom corners, otherwise fine condition.
