Joseph Pulitzer

Joseph Pulitzer (April 10, 1847 – October 29, 1911), Hungarian-American newspaper publisher of the St. Louis Post Dispatch and the New York World, most famous as the name behind the coveted "Pulitzer Prize", authentic, autographed canceled check. The rare check is hand signed by Pulitzer and dated January 14, 1881, made payable to a "Jg Kappner" for "Two hundred" Dollars. The vintage check is in fine condition for its age with only scattered expected age wear and customary cancelation "cuts".
