Bon-Adrien Jannot de Moncey (31 July 1754 - 20 April 1842), Marshal of France, authentic, autographed document (DS). This two page document measures approximately 8" x 10" in size and is dated September 9, 1800.

The document is written on the official stationery of de Moncey during his time as a Lietenant General.

In addition to being a Marshal of France, de Moncey was also the 1st Duke of Conegliano, 1st baron of Conegliano and a Peer of France (July 1754 - April 1842).

He joined Napoleon's Italian campaign in 1800 and led a corps from Switzerland to Italy. In 1805, Napoleon made him a Marshal of France.

He distinguished himself during victorious campaigns against the Spaniards. He refused to serve in the invasion of Russia, however, he reappeared to defend Paris on the heights of Montmarte and at the barrier of Clichy.

This untranslated document is crisply signed at the conclusion by de Moncey. It is in good to very good condition, with overall light toning not affecting the signature. There are scattered creases and expected intersecting folds.
