Friedrich Kaulbach (8 July 1822 - 17 September 1903), German Painter, authentic, autographed annotated letter (ALS). This two page letter measures approximately 5" x 7" in size and is dated January 8, 1898.
Kaulbach was a German painter who went on to serve as court painter for King George V. He frequently portrayed the King and much of the local nobility in his works. Amongst his other famous works were "Adam and Eve beside the body of Abel" and the "Coronation of Charlemagne" for the Museum Maximilaneum.
This letter is crisply signed at the conclusion by Kaulbach. It is in good to very good condition, with overall light toning not affecting the signature. The letter contains a few small tears and expected fold lines.
