Jacqueline Kennedy to Oleg Cassini Inc.

Jacqueline Kennedy (July 28, 1929 – May 19, 1994), wife of the 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy, and First Lady of the United States, autographed letter, sent to Oleg Cassini.

Original hand-written note with envelope, undated but circa 1972, in full, " Dear Oleg, Thank you - for your beautiful ties - and for the enchanting little josey blouse which Caroline is trying to lure away from me - You were so sweet & thoughtful to remeber us - Happy New Year and I hope we see you soon - much love, Jackie."

Oleg Cassini (11 April 1913 – 17 March 2006) was an American fashion designer born to an aristocratic Russian family with maternal Italian ancestry. He came to the United States as a young man after starting as a designer in Rome, and quickly got work with Paramount Pictures. Cassini established his reputation by designing for films.

He became particularly well known as a designer for Jacqueline Kennedy whilst she was First Lady of the United States. The "Jackie Look" was to become highly influential and much admired. Among Cassini's inspirations were sports and Native American culture.
