Louis-Lucien Bonaparte (4 January 1813 - November 3, 1891), French politician and philologist, authentic, autographed annotated letter (ALS). This two page letter measures approximately 3" x 6" in size and is dated June 19, 1877. 

The letter is attached to a larger piece of paper approximately 4" x 7" in size. In the bottom margin is the printed name of "Louis Lucien Bonaparte (son of Lucien)." It is addressed to the widow of Lord Strangford in which Bonaparte expresses his sympathies. The letter is also written on "mourning stationery" as it contains a bold black border around all of its margins. 

Bonaparte was the third son of Napoleon's second surviving brother, Lucien Bonaparte. He spent much of his youth in Italy. Upon his return to France in 1848, he served two brief terms in the Assembly as a representative of Corsica and the Seine Departments. 

This letter is crisply signed at the conclusion by Bonaparte. It is in good to very good condition, with overall light toning not affecting the signature. The letter contains some fold lines.
