William Cullen Bryant (November 3, 1794 – June 12, 1878) prominent American romantic poet, journalist, and long-time editor of the New York Evening Post, authentic, autographed vintage handwritten letter (ALS), dated January 4th, 1873. Two pages of a single folded sheet.
Bryant responds to a letter relating to "Library of Song", clearing up confusion to the recipient that he did not compile it though did send along some of his suggestions for it.
Fine vintage condition with only light expected age, a few areas of ink blotting and expected mailing folds.
