Soviet Cosmonaut Signature Collection: Soyuz Programme Crew Members.
Very rare photograph signed by all of the crew members of Soyuz 6, Soyuz 7, and Soyuz 8. The Oct. 11-16, 1969 missions had all three Soyuz spacecraft in orbit together at the same time, carrying a total of seven cosmonauts. The crew of Soyuz 6 were meant to take high-quality movie photography of the Soyuz 7 and Soyuz 8 docking, but the rendezvous systems on all three spacecraft failed, effectively ending Russian hopes of reaching the moon.
The image shows the cosmonauts as they are given medals for their heroism, and each has signed beneath his respective image, including: Georgy Shonin and Valery Kubasov (Soyuz 6), Anatoly Filipchenko, Vladislav Volkov (Killed In Soyuz 11 Landing on June 30, 1971), and Viktor Gorbatko (Soyuz 7), Vladimir Shatalov And Aleksei Yeliseyev (Soyuz 8).
7 authentic autographs in ink on vintage fiber photograph; 6 x 9 inches.
* NOTE * - Gorbatko's signature was gone over by him with a better pen, else near fine.
In very good vintage condition with light dings to surface of photograph.
