George Smith Patton Jr. (November 11, 1885 – December 21, 1945) was a General of the United States Army who commanded the U.S. Seventh Army in the Mediterranean theater of World War II, and the U.S. Third Army in France and Germany following the Allied invasion of Normandy in June 1944.
Scarce signature, clipped from an envelope, signed as a War Censorship signature above the "Passed As Censored" stamp. Patton has signed "G.S. Patton Jr." adding his rank below the signature. The original envelope this signature was clipped from was dated 1/10/1918.
Clipped signature measures approximately 2.25 x 1.75 inches.
