Official printed bulletins of the French Grand Army, authentic, document. This set of two printed document, each four pages in length,  are approximately 8" x 9"  in size and are dated June 20 and July 28, 1807. They contain very interesting details. These official bulletins were widely spread to the French citizenry informing them of important battles of the French Army as well as other military and political news.

The first page of both bulletins is headed "Official Details" and both provide a dramatic account of the defense of Raguse under the command of General Count J.A.B. Lauriston. One of the bulletins also contains an impressive woodcut on the front page.

The Montenegrins who had attacked the French fort in a monstrous way and with the utmost brutality, joined by the Russians, had ultimately been totally defeated and the Russians driven to their ships. One of the bulletins also describes in great detail the atrocities committed by the Montenegrins.

These untranslated, printed documents are in good to very good condition, with overall light toning not affecting any of the wording. The pages are held together at the left margin affixed to a stock piece of paper.
