Marie-Jospeph Blais de Chenier

Marie-Joseph Blaise de Chenier (11 February 1764 - 10 January 1811), French poet, authentic, vintage portrait. This handsome colored portrait measures approximately 7" x 11" in size.

The portrait contains the printed name of "M.J. Chenier" at the bottom. It is dated 1825. 

Chenier was a French poet, dramatist and politician of Greek origin. He is well remembered for the number of revolutionary writings he produced. He was also a member of the National Convention and voted for the death of King Louis XVI. 

The portrait is in good to very good condition. The left hand margin is slightly frayed.
