Janet Blair (April 23, 1921 – February 19, 2007), big band singer who went on to become a popular American film and television actress, vintage 8 x 10 glossy double-weight keybook photograph. Credited to Columbia Pictures photographer A.L. "Whitey" Schafer.
Schafer is perhaps best remembers for his "Thou Shalt Not" image entered in the 1941 Academy Awards Still Show, but he was Paramount's chief photographer from 1941-1951, and before that, head of Columbia's stills department.
Verso bears original Schafer credit stamping and publicity snipe, else blank and clean. In very good condition with mild signs of wear to edges and corners.
