John William Draper

John William Draper (May 5, 1811 - January 4, 1882), notable American scientist, philosopher and physician, vintage cabinet card photograph. Draper is credited with producing the first clear photograph of a female face and the first detailed photograph of the Moon, circa 1840.

Measuring approximately 4.25 x 6.5, this cabinet card photograph is in very good condition, with the expected age wear, some light soiling and rippling.
