General Tom Thumb (January 4, 1838 - July 15, 1883), aka Charles Sherwood Stratton, notable little person entertainer who achieved fame under P.T. Barnum, authentic, original 19th century Carte-de-visite photograph, featuring Thumb with his wife Lavinia along with Commodore Nutt and Miss Minnie Warren.
Captioned "in the identical costumes worn before Emperor Louis Napoleon and the Empress Eugenie, at the Palace of the Tuilleries [sic], Nov." Verso features facsimile signatures and E. & H.T. Anthony photography studio back-stamp.
Photograph measures approximately 2.5 x 4 inches. Fine condition aside from some expected slight age wear.
