Sir James Simpson (1792 - 18 April 1868), British army general, vintage unsigned engraved photo print. This handsome print measures approximately 5" x 8" in size. 

Simpson was a general of the British Army. He served with the 1st Regiment of Foot Guards during the Peninsular War and the Waterloo Campaign. He commanded the 29th Regiment of Foot in Mauritius and Bengal. In 1855 went to Crimea to act as chief of staff to the army commander Lord Raglan. Raglan died on 28 June, and Simpson took command of the army.

This unsigned vintage print is in good to very good condition.
